Philosophy
At Orchidale, our children are in fresh, rural air and develop a shared joy and a sense of wonder about nature. In our much-loved vegetable patch, they can learn to grow, tend and harvest – and even eat the rewards if they’re lucky!
Inside, the nursery is open-plan and bright, a homely environment where children are watched carefully by our highly qualified and experienced team. Under their guidance and in the warm, family atmosphere, our children build curiosity and thinking, and gaining the skills that make them ready for their next steps in learning.
Going the Extra Mile
​Our wide curriculum includes Yoga, Gardening, Cooking Club, Woodwork Club, Farm School and Forest School. We are lucky enough to have termly visitors including Zoolab and the local fire brigade. With all our activities, and particularly in our outdoor learning and Forest School, we encourage children to take risks and challenge themselves safely. We also have on-board a qualified Preschool Teacher in whose capable hands the children have been introduced to and have expanded their knowledge of phonics, language, science and mathematics.​​

Our children are able to go on a wide variety of local trips. We make excursions as far as the beach using our very own mini buses. Children absolutely love this extra special journey, whether it is to our Forest School Garden in The Norfolk Showground or to a Museum or Nature Reserve.
